How our product prices are calculated

Merchr aims to provide industry leading pricing for a wide range of print-on-demand products.

Merchr has one of the UK's most extensive stock holdings of print-on-demand products and best-in-class print machines. This allows us to offer retail quality printed products at excellent prices.

The cost price of a product is determined by a fixed cost, plus a small proportion of the final selling price when priced above our suggested selling price. This covers the cost of the item plus the cost of printing. Occasionally these prices will need to change to reflect our production and service costs, however we aim to only do this when necessary to ensure our prices remain competitive.

Our default cost prices are based on our own suggested selling prices, which are designed to give a healthy margin to our store owners whilst offering a good price to end customers. These default cost prices are displayed in our Catalogue and throughout the product creation process.

The cost prices are only taken from the final selling price once a product is sold, so there is no need to pay for products in advance. The profits are then yours to keep, as explained here.

The ability for you to set your own selling prices remains completely in your control!

Merchr does not impose additional charges for card fees, web hosting, storage or using our advanced design tools. Our platform provides everything needed to run an online merchandise store with no upfront cost outlay.
